- time
- THORChain splits large swaps into sub-swaps: the price barely moves with size, the clock does. A curve without time would flatter it
- minimum and ceiling
- below the minimum the line refuses; above the ceiling it stops quoting, runs past 10%, or stretches past an hour. Both are measured, not assumed
- halted routes
- a route whose chain is halted gets no curve at all — depth for something that cannot execute is a lie about money
